Ingredients you'll need

For the kohlrabi

  • 2 kohlrabi (or celeriac)
  • peeled and shredded.

For the marinade

  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp miso paste
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Let's get cookin'

  1. Peel and shred kohlrabi
  2. Mix all marinade ingredients
  3. Cover kohlrabi with marinade - use immediately or marinate for better flavor
  4. Thread onto skewers
  5. Grill or pan fry until nicely charred
  6. Brush with any leftover marinade while cooking
  7. Serve on amba or your favorite sauce

These kohlrabi skewers transform any veggie BBQ into a feast!
